  • Crud Cruiser Is Coming

    Crud Cruiser mobile collection trailers travel to neighborhoods to collect household hazardous waste from March through November. Fort Worth residents only (bring drivers’ license or water bill). The capacity of the Crud Cruiser is limited, so events may end earlier than advertised. Events may also be cancelled in the event of rain. The 2018 schedule and drop off locations are in the attached flyer.   • Remember to Recycle all that Cardboard

    With Cyber Monday behind us, can you imagine how many shipping boxes are in the process of being delivered? Increasingly, cardboard is becoming a huge part of recycling — for both residences and at businesses. Remember to recycle all that cardboard. Nearly 70 percent of all corrugated cardboard is recovered for recycling, making it the largest source of waste paper collected for recycling. Today more than 90 percent of all products in the U.S. are shipped in corrugated cardboard boxes.

  • Stormwater Management Program

    When rain hits any hard surface, such as your roof or driveway, it can't soak into the ground so it runs off your property. Uncontrolled runoff can lead to flooding, erosion and pollution problems. It is the city's job to help control this runoff. The city's Stormwater Management program is working to modernize the Fort Worth storm water system and educate the public about the dangers of flash flooding.

  • Cease the Grease

    Just as fat, oil and grease can cause blockages in your arteries, they can do the same to sewer pipes. Garbage disposals and detergents that dissolve grease may just pass the problem down the pipe. Grease comes from meat, salad dressing, butter, margarine, shortening, cooking oils, lard, dairy products, baked goods, foot scraps and many other common delights.
